Was my first time cutting 1/8" on the Hypertherm, I did a lot of it but on my old PrimeWeld

    Glad you like them!

Just got an update from Brad at BH3D on the dual cup holders for the taco. he did some work on customizing it for bigger bottles after I reached out a few months back and they've made another small tweek in the final design.

They are hooking me up with the new model and have a bunch in stock for the auto and manual trans ready to ship.

Here's a few shots of what I have currently

    IMG_20241106_144105.jpg

the new design will shift the first cup holder away from the dash about 1/4" and they also convinced me to try the Tan color this time instead of the gray to see if it matches the console a little better (I ordered the gray to match the 4runner sunglass holder above it previously).

I really thought the size would be a bit of an issue at first but even after bouncing around in the desert and long day drives my wife has been nothing but pleased with the usable space

@Kwikvette are you able to cut 4x8 sheets of aluminum? If so I may have a good contact for some business opportunities with Racing Anxiety. They are in the process of designing some bed racks/camper shells and have a need for accurate cuts and veterans supporting veteran businesses just makes sense to me

Had a friend just text me recently, about a roof rack (so similar) out of aluminum.

Have to nope for 2 main reasons - I only have a cut width of 4' (and only 33" tall) and wouldn't feel comfortable indexing such an item, and the other being that aluminum wrecks consumables for plasma cutting

If the company really needs help, my friend with a 5 ' x 10' (he cuts aluminum quite a bit) would be perfect for the job

    He's a vet himself

I think it's great though to get vets to help other vets :fistbump:

If I may ask, are they limited in tooling?

    Got it

I also haven't cut aluminum on my current plasma cutter either. I'm curious to see how it'll do but I also need to find some scrap before I cut something out for Zane.

Apparently what I'm running now is supposed to cut much better, but I haven't tried yet.

I do remember him saying a small table could work it mostly came down to the cost of materials with a 4x8 sheet being priced similarly to a 4x4 so they could get much more bang for the buck with 4x8

If I pick up my round tube today, I'll see if they have some scrap aluminum

I assume they're probably made from 1/4" thick or so

I don't mind getting some and cutting for the heck of it, scrap is how I get stuff dialed in on anyway

    Out here, the cost difference from a 4 x 8 to a 4 x 4 would be half plus a few dollars

Crazy that they pay the same out where you're at

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Damn, Magnuson bought the rights to the discontinued TRD supercharger for the 1FZ-FE powered 80 series Land Cruisers... but like when it was TRD/Kazuma making them the kit was around $4500 all said and done. They're charging $9k for a shitty old Eaton MP90 that makes like 5psi on a good day.

I will be interested in a tan version. Trying to store my big iPhone Pro cell in the Taco doesn't work well.

I just throw mine in the 4wd shift boot area if I have drinks in the holders, thing is annoyingly big.
