Broke my first winch line today trying to pull myself backwards from the only thing sturdy enough to pull on.

Almost had a really long night but ended up getting out.

Aesthetics preferences aside, The GX gets you the option of the twin-turbo v6 with a 10-speed, while the LC only has I4/hybrid options with 6 or 8-speed.

My boss has the hybrid LC and complains that he still gets under 20mpg, and on premium to boot. Might as well get the v6 with numbers like that.

Yeah I don't know why, beyond price, people would go for LC over GX.

With a starting MSRP of $56k it's hard to pretend the LC is a "budget-conscious" buy either.

But then again, I've never owned a vehicle that cost more than $15k.

Market is comedy. Funny that $60k won't even get you near a new X5 but hey it'll just sneak you into a leftover '24 Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch package.

Buddy just bought a new Badlands Bronco less than a week ago

Looks pretty badass but yeah $60k now doesn't get you much

Yeah I think Ford did good design wise but man I dunno how you can justify that unless like you said, FU money.

Once you get it out of your system, you're just like "ok, I'll stick to used vehicles"

One of my coworkers today--one who's learning C# as a second language after JavaScript, and who relies heavily (and mostly effectively) on AI coding assistants--managed to write one of the most obscure bugs I've ever seen.

It was clear what the code was supposed to do, and looked like it would do it.
The unit tests we wrote together passed, and seemed sound.
The code didn't work as expected when we actually ran the application.

It was written in an un-idiomatic way, and I suspected immediately when I saw the code that it wouldn't work entirely as expected. I let it be because he's learning and I thought it would be good experience to see things break. It didn't break in quite the way I expected, though. It sort-of worked in a way that was very confusing.

It took me an hour of staring at it to make sense of exactly what was happening and explain the behavior I was seeing.

It made for a somewhat unproductive afternoon, but it was entertaining.
