1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Our model today asked me if she could bring her dog this morning, some little old terrier. I guess it's too old to be alone all day, I dunno. Her dog sitter canceled on her.

I naively assumed it would be alright because my old boss used to have her two little Spaniels in the studio every day for nearly 2 years. One of them was a puppy that ran around like the energizer bunny on crack.

Security comes in at lunch and says the dog has to go. Apparently I forgot to realize that my old boss was the company owner's ex-wife so she was obviously given a few perks the rest of us don't have lol.

Luckily they called back about 10 min later and said it was fine for today, which is good because I was about to hide that dog in the IT server room so we wouldn't have to cancel the rest of the shoot

Outside of needing to pick up my old Xbox from my cousin, an SNES to replace the one I sold way back, I'll have all my old consoles again!

 

now I need to figure out who ratted us out, only 2 or 3 people walked into the studio this morning and saw that her dog was here.

Probably. He’s an apex predator when it comes to other animals lol. Plus, hes bigger and has a wolf like appearance which I think deters smaller predators like coyotes.

Would I trust him to protect us from a human intruder? Absolutely not, he has minus zero stranger danger awareness

like if I was getting mauled by a bear, I would 100% expect that Dex would intervene. If I was being attacked by another person, he’d likely just wag his tail and wait to see who comes out on top to give him some attention

Honestly, the Carolinas are a big upgrade from FL, climate-wise. Much milder summers, winter is a real winter but it's still very mild. (Snow 1-3 days a year, at least at the NC/SC border). Hell, the high here today is under 80.
