I do wonder about what all these laid off tech workers are doing, not to mention all the recent college grads struggling to find almost non-existent entry level office jobs. It’s hard enough to get by when you have a decent job..

Took a tour and drove around the massive data center we use at work last year. Around the back was just an endless line of shipping container sized AC Units (or whatever they're called at this scale) on the ground. Had to be at least 30 of them

Alot of different ways to do the same thing.
When i was in vegas i started at the south point and one night i decided to wander around and ended up where all their cooling towers are at just checking out the piping lol. I found a engineer that would of took me to the chiller room if he didn’t have to go fix something when i stopped him to ask.

10 years from now HVAC techs are gonna be living in vast estates and sailing yachts around the world while the rest of us are housed in shoebox tenements and force fed AI-generated slop for entertainment :annoyed:

It use to take a large population of people to farm everything we need but with technology over the ages it's taking less and less so people have become more educated and create more things so I assume if AI takes a bunch of jobs that will just free up people to learn more things and the cycle continues

Facts, when I was 16 with my Tacoma I'd neutral drop the a340 pretty often to get the tires to chirp

I left it underwater and it still worked after

Wrecked it pretty bad and sold it to a 4 runner guy who still drives on it

AC condenser stopped running outside. Capacitor appeared fine with no bulging and tested fine, but I couldn't keep troubleshooting because now it's pouring rain. Not sure if I'll skip work tomorrow to fix it or not.

Manually spinning our fan just before my wife flipped the thermostat back on was a solid indicator of the capacitor being bad even though it didn't show any physical indication (bulging) of going bad and I great way to get it running long enough to cool the house while waiting for the replacement to come in.

Did you check the fuses too?

I like both of those, haven't seen any mantis in my yard this year yet but I have some jumping spiders in the house right now.
