that was the other one I was looking at -- it's about 1/4 the price for sure but the buckle kinda stinks based on reviews. It's for sure something I want to remove OFTEN.

I did find this little thing which is a little more than I want to spend for a chunk of powder coated metal buuuuuut would have a minimal footprint without the tank too...was thinking of using some infinity modular like straps to make it easy -- comes with cruddy clamps. :p

Some Voile straps would work just fine with that in a pinch, just make sure the edges of the bracket aren't sharp.

If my guestimation is correct, you'd need two straps--15"+20" or maybe 2x20"--to get around a 5lbs tank.

good thinking on checking for sharp shit - looks buttery smooth with the powder coating but defects suck.

I'm thinking two straps keep it happy - that way if one does fail the other is there to mostly hold it.

And when the tank isn't in the truck -- it's almost not even a burden of a mount. hummmm...

i mean it is approaching 200k mi on beat to shit roads. tbh the worst part is/was figuring out the combination of flex joints and extensions to remove each bolt for the caliper and unit bearing. every single one is different. fucking acura lol

gf will pick up a new unit few towns over tomorrow and i guess we slap it together again after work

Any of you guys interested in an 80 series triple locked "I think 96" LC for $1,000?

    The bad:
    The exhaust is falling apart
    The power steering leaks
    Interior needs detailed
    Paint is shot.
    Maybe more

    The good:
    1 owner
    It's only $1,000
    Triple locked

Sounds like the fun kind of bad choice. Good thing I don't have a trailer.

I was thinking Voile straps because they have some stretch so it's easier to snug down around a solid object. If you aren't worried about that, then NRS straps are cheap and outdoor-chic.

yah - I also have a couple laying around I could just try; whatever I pick will get used, for the tank or other things -- win win.
