Been a minute since I've been in an airport... You married with children types I've got a question. Is there some biological function or maybe a post natal agenda where you have to immediately put the freshly spawned barely sentient thing on a plane? Like is that just the natural progression, ~9mo in the womb, then weekly flights until they're old enough to be quiet?

 

At that age they can sit in your lap and ship for free so why not?!

I had one puke on my knee once… Dad tried to hand me a $20 for my troubles but the shame in his eyes satiated me.

 

Fuck that - we'll just drive

 

It can ride in cargo for free too

 

Having been childless for +37 years, I've been fortunate enough to not ever deal with anyone else's kids whether on a plane, train, etc.

But man, out in public (eating, etc) I've always hated parents that let their kid run wild, touching shit they're not supposed to and more.

Now that I've got my little dude, yeah no kid is perfect and they're going to throw tantrums and shit. But I do my best to take him in my arms (or in the stroller) and separate us from everyone else. They're not here to listen to my kid scream, and I don't enjoy it myself either so I'll do what I can to not ruin it for anyone else cause I sure as hell wouldn't want to deal with that if I was there without my own kids.

Least now if/when I say something to someone, they can't pull the "well do you have kids?".

oh yeah, seems like theyre either stoned to the bone or coked tf up. pretty much same here i can generally appreciate it but sometimes im like “holy shit you need a chill pill” when theyre 11/10 stoked

It’s been a regular ol puke fest at our house today. Me, Rebecca, my mother in law and Sofia all came down with the same stomach virus but fortunately I was spared the projectile vomit inducing aspect of it. Can’t say the same for the others, had to take Rebecca to the er this morning for IV fluids because she couldn’t stop throwing up all night and it was becoming a real concern especially with the pregnancy.

since I’m the only one not doubled over in the throes of unrelenting nausea I’ve basically been on nurse and kid duty all day

Back in Jan I had some sort of virus like that on a work trip. Flew to Florida, stayed in the room for four days, and flew home.

gf had the exact same thing but about 6 hours delayed back home.






Definitely the best way to experience Florida.
