I had a wild thought that the CEL may be activating some type of "safe" or "reduced" performance mode.
I saw that on Nissan engines years ago. Rodents would eat the knock sensor wires, trigger a CEL + ghost code, and performance would suck until it was resolved.

 

You're referring to limp mode - nope it never has and I just drove it yesterday out here to Nevada

The Land Cruiser also suffered a knock sensor issue, specifically the plug, and it never went into limp mode either

When it happened to the LC, I remember Zane saying it'll drive like normal because both sensors would need to trigger for it to go into limp mode

I suspect the same is going on with the GX

I looked up the company cause I had no idea what they did... it's every other full service aggregator for business shit. How are there so many of them, like corporations love doing the capitalist buy all the competition BS... why is this segment of the market unaffected.
