    Sick!

Adrian just ordered his too the other day. I'm anxiously waiting for my swatches to arrive because rather than making a second stool for myself, I can just get another backrest and stool cushion made.

Figured I'd go with a different leather for the second set.

As someone pretty ignorant to coilovers, is this the general understanding of tiers?
    2.0 < 2.5 < 2.5 remote res
    non-adjustable < adjustable
    icon < fox < king < ADS

Are the Toytec/Bilstein coilover options at all worth a look?

Assume with steel TG bumper + winch I should be looking at 700 lb springs?
    And EXT travel

This is all pretty hypothetical at this point, just want to get a gauge what that upgrade would run

    Get some ADS

Tell them what you're running, and what your goals are and done

p much this, unless youre running fast tracks the 2-3.0 sizing or bypass doesnt matter nearly as much as coil rate and tuning

And buying any 2.5's means you're running an "off the shelf tuning" which could work for some vehicles, and not so well for others.

I remember the Fox 2.5's on my Tacoma being a bit harsh, and really only worked a bit better when I threw on the ARB bumper.

However, the King 2.5's made the 4Runner drive beautifully especially over dips and anything I encountered during wheeling.

And for some reason, the Dobinsons and Icon combo worked better than I would've thought on the Land Cruiser.

If I did it all over again, it'd be ADS (or Accutune if they were running a sale) and I'd share the specs of the build and the intent. They'll custom tune the shocks to your rig.

So just go get the most expensive custom built ones lol

I can't see myself dropping the 2.5k on ADS, realistically only seeing this happen at the 12-1500 range like the Kings you had, 25001-151-EXT
Icon has their comparable line (2.5 non-remote) at around 1300 as well

Id double check that these are tunable but $1400/pair with free tuning before and one free retune would be solid

Well you also cited Bilstein shocks, which you already own I thought?

I've only been seeing coilover prices going up, longer you wait, more expensive they'll get.

Other option is to buy used, rebuild them (several members here can give you help with that), and run that instead.

Get some used Kings, ADS, FOX, uh... yeah those be the basic ones with easy to get parts. I'm no shockologist but I've been tuning my own for a hot minute and I'd be happy to do yours for a reasonable rate. If you get used I can rebuild em too obviously.

I have bilstein 5100s at the moment, but I meant their coilover options comparable to these Toytec Boss 2.0's Can't find the bilsteins new atm, but had seen these on FB for some worn out ones No one ever talks about these, so I figure that means to steer away and at that price point just get a reputable high end brand

I have thought about just picking up some nitrochargers, my springs front and rear are OME already
My shocks aren't blown though, so I figure the difference will be minimal

Nice, I'll figure the seat out after I do the casters.
Once I get the casters on I can paint the base.

I have no experience with 2.0's but I'd consider them a bit of a lat move going from what you have to them.

    Waste of money.

Plus I remember asking about rebuild cost on 2.0's over 2.5's and was told many people don't want to rebuild 2.0's.

I dunno if they're lucky or not, but I usually have a ton of them but this year I've only seen one.

Appreciate that, sounds like the best option for my budget
Were Icons deliberately excluded from that list

Icons are digressive if you're into that

And I know tons of people had them break on their 2nd/3rd Gen trucks
