I don't even have it -- bypassed it with a wilwood manual prop valve that is actually open ALL the way.

That valve was all said and done like most folks deal with; so put in something I could control...but still no bueno.

We've got a great bleeder but I'm still half tempted to go let a shop do the whole thing...idk what else.

Everything is opened, inspected and accounted for!

This is the coolest Lego set I’ve ever gotten!

Hurry up and put it together :luvya:

No but really don't overweld, and don't apply too much heat all at once.

Take as much time as you need to maintain flatness as best as possible.

Hopefully this weekend. Need a plan, courage and fully stocked underwear drawer when working in this heat!

To the overweld point, John stressed this to me twice when we talked. Said do one “slightly larger than normal tack” at each of the corners and sides of all rib grids, starting in the center and slowly working my way out. Anything more was unnecessary and put the outcome at risk.

Having it all bolted together should help, but I desperately don’t want to fuck this up!

Having to take a heat break every 15 min or so should help

Yeah it's why I say definitely take your time

Goes back to the whole welding one capture nut vs two for the stool - that heat will distort your metal and as it cools, it'll remain in its new form so to speak whether it be a hump or something

After I got done with @FLBAdrian stool, I finished up a set of bed stiffeners and for two of those parts, I actually clamp the outer edges of the part prior to welding the nuts on

Once they're welded, letting them off the clamps and letting them cool let's them rest in a flat state

Pedal would go to the floor easily at altitude, without locking up the wheels. Revving seemed to help. Didn't spend a ton of time troubleshooting in the moment as I was above treeline and there was thunder rumbling. By the time I got back to a maintained road things felt normal again.

Thought I'd design something less "in the way"

The braces I made were done without any thought at all. Waste of steel but not really if I apply it in real life and learn something from it.

I don't like the "arrowhead" type shape it creates when the braces are stacked on top of each other, so doing it this way as a one piece ensures rigidity, without the issue of hitting your ankles if you scoot in your chair.

Not sure why the algorithm decided I needed this today, but this one's cool. @Kwikvette @JKO1998 upload_2025-8-13_20-51-7.png
