if it works as a good pain management solution then I imagine it will be well worth it, wayyy better than having to rely on something narcotic like opioids

I think if I ever developed an intolerance to regular beer I'd just be done with alcohol honestly.

    Curious what y'all think
Took my truck battery out and put it on my trickle charger a while ago, since I hadn't driven the truck in over a month and wanted it ready to go
    (NOCO Genius 1 charger)
The light turned green after a few days, showing it was charged back up.
Forgot about it for another few days, then noticed the light had turned red again, meaning it was charging again.
Didn't think much of it, figured it was just topping it back off.
Day later lights still on, weird, shouldn't be taking that long to top off
Day later all charger lights are off, weird, never seen that, check the multimeter and the battery is at 10V
Unplug replug charger, let it sit a couple more days, still 10V

Battery dead? Did I kill it somehow? It seemed to get charged correctly after the first few days

Sounds like the battery has a sulphated cell or a dead one

sometimes the new chargers fail to recover on a good battery if the battery voltage is too low or it thinks the internal resistance is too high , might need to try one of the old school ones that just cranks the power through it no matter what.

Yeah that can work, give it a shot if its a regular flooded cell or a normal AGM. Just babysit it if you do

It can force charge when the battery is dead dead, which I've had to do before. This time it wasn't all that dead, power locks were still working when I pulled it out
And its detecting the battery is signaling its 'charging'

You can usually save those a time or two... I dunno how my Land Cruiser can sit so often without charging and be fine. Flooded cells are pretty amazing when it comes to resilience to shit conditions. Go find someone with an old fashioned high amperage charger like @Wulf was talking about and boil the thing for an hour.

Same here. Have you ever tried to stop drinking coffee? I tried last year when Monica was pregnant with Chloe. I really couldn't function and was super irritable and had day long headaches.

My 1st set was a 5 piece Ludwig with zildjian hardware. I miss that set.
In highschool a friend of mine made me some aluminum drum sticks in metal shop. It was a bad idea as they destroyed drum heads pretty fast.

Yeah it’s comparable to quitting a substantial nicotine habit cold turkey.

I stopped drinking coffee years ago, just lost the taste for it. But don’t take that to mean I gave up caffeine because I definitely didn’t lol. I limit my intake to 200/250 mg a day though which is about as much as a strong cup of coffee or energy drink. To avoid getting hooked like that.

I think the addictive portion of caffeine skipped me. I can totally shrug it off without side effects. But I really do enjoy the taste of coffee

    4 run, 2 don't
Was getting a lot more power out of these every hit

    20250904_095205.jpg

As for drum sets, thinking Roland KD-02KV

The KD-17KV is the set I was considering at first but hard to find in the used market

Nice thing is, you can buy the mesh pads from a 17KV and use them on the 02KV (found some used on FB MP)

The 02KV comes with one mesh pad, but it's one you'd use most before having to consider upgrading the rest

You going back to a standard drum set or considering electronic?

Better than nothing, go for a real drive though to get the alt spinning. Idle output is lazy
