I'd rather go traditional. Just love the way it sounds and feels better. But probably going with an electric set may make more sense. I had mute pads for my last set. It worked pretty well.

Yeah traditional feel way better of course.

Yesterday's lesson reminded me of that; but then in the off chance I want to play/practice when the fam is sleeping or napping, it's nice to be able to play via headphones.

You should check out a set in person one of these days, you'll be surprised the amount of rebound these mesh pads have.

Now you got me thinking I should stop by guitar center after work next week. " Monica, watch the kids. I got to make a pit stop"

They encourage you to play on their stuff they've got laid out on the showroom floor

Got to messing with the Roland and it feels pretty decent - there's another popular brand that's called Alesis but long-term reliability isn't as good as Roland (on forums, YT videos, as well as the instructor teaching me)

Yeah they can "encourage" all they would like but I'm not buying a new set. Roland is definitely the way to go with a electronic set.

I don't know when I realized it but eggs and me are not friends. I love eggs on toast with an avacado or on top of biscuits and gravy - so very specific and not often, but I do like. But I always feel shitty/sick after eating em. Most recently I've been trying to like hardboiled eggs -- I'm kinda fine with em if they have salt and pepper but deff not my thought of, 'oh yes, let's have that' -- anyway protein, quick, blah blah blah. I ate some last week and I really felt like shit; but thought oh if I just keep with the routine my body will adjust. What kinda dumb science is that? Today was the 3rd attempt this week to eat two hard boiled eggs for breakfast. nope nope nope -- took me out for several hours. Felt sick, actually like car sick; wtf eggs!?!?!

anyway - I think I'm off eggs again.

Soo...great story...what's everyone doing dis weekend? I got taller rails to put my tent up a little higher, so prolly install those and get a short local camp trip in to test it out. Otherwise, gotta ride da bike and maybe finish cleaning out the garage before it randomly snows...

Football!! Starts tonight and will be my primary focus until Monday night!

If anyone wants to check in on Amber, let me know how she’s doing please :D

Edit: if I can set up a TV in the garage I’d like to maybe weld up my tube roller modifications so I can finally finish the stool

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Is it already sportsball season. Good there's going to be some low traffic times on the road again when everybody's got their eyes glued to guys in spandex.

Wake me up when hockey season starts
