    @eon_blue

    So stepping out, I'd want the chest here

    20250907_101458.jpg

    The amp (comes in a waterproof enclosure) will go between it and the wall as there's a covered outlet there

    Something like this or whatever @FLBAdrian comes up with, I trust his wood working as it's all pretty badass from what I've seen

    I bought this for $500 today. No rust so it felt wrong not to. A friend from college has a Brat with the same engine. So I know a bit about them.

    I asked chatgpt to make you an AARP card. I think Olivia and Theo could do better.

    Im kinda jealous ngl - ive always had a soft spot for those things. I’m pretty sure the engines are so light you can lift them out with your hands and put them on a work table to reseal

    My work is wanting the transmission and driveshaft out of the shop. I guess I’m gonna have to clear up space in my trunk again:D

    The engine takes up half the engine bay and the spare tire takes the rest lol.

    People EJ swap them but I’d have to research that some more. In reality this will likely just get a manual transmission swap. The vacuum actuated 3 speed auto isn’t ideal.

    A cheaper option would be the new FA24DIT found in the newer WRX's and upper trim on other Subaru models. Less maintenance and better oil filter location. They don't quite sound as good as an EJ due to equal length headers, but a solid engine. They can be had for less than $3,000. Much cheaper than finding something like an FA20DIT like my WRX.
