Thoughts on buying an RTT from a defunct company?
Been eyeing a Gold Dog Kaibab, was a AZ Local company. It looks great, has annex with the ladder inside the annex room which is exactly what I want. Price is great, but the company went under years ago.
I imagine the main 'wear' item would be the cover, and you could probably throw just about any RTTs cover on it if needed.

don't see any reason why not, they're all pretty much the same if you ever needed repair parts or whatever.

If you're ever out here in Socal just bring me a 6er or some nice beer and you can have mine lol. Haven't used it or even opened it up in years....should probably do that and make sure it's not rotting away from within.

probably should have made that a DM, now I'm going to get hit up by people I don't know asking for my RTT

    Appreciate that!
Definitely keeping that in mind, though I think I'd rather you have a place to sleep on the 10th anniversary moab trip..

Maybe, I told myself I'll keep it for when the kids are older and all. Camping with little kids and an RTT is just torturing yourself for no reason besides IG clout. Way more practical to use a ground tent. But even when they're older it only holds two people comfortably so really no reason to keep it with all the space it takes up.

Between that and my daughter being conceived in it, that tent has seen some things

They're all pretty interchangeable, they steal the same designs if it's a regular old fashioned the pole tent.

no kidding, I cannot stand having my bed sheets tucked in at the foot of the bed when I'm sleeping...I need to be able to kick my legs out for some fresh air. Hotels stuff those things so far under the mattress you have to strong-arm them out.
