Basically.

 

Nope, never. Not because I'm against them or anything like that, just haven't felt like I was that susceptible to the flu. Only had the flu once as an adult that I can recall.

Mmmmmm. Petersen Automotive Museum. That's the Hero 'A' car, I followed the restoration from start to finish. I bought one of their restoration team patches which went towards the budget for actually restoring the car. I saw it while it will still on display at Universal Studios.

Six DeLoreans were bought for the trilogy, out of the six, only three still exist. One of them was hit by a train at the end of Part III and was re-assembled and used to hang from the ceiling of Planet Hollywood in Hawaii. That wasn't CGI, they really hit the 'B' car with a real cargo train. It closed and its current whereabouts are unknown.



Another was a car used in II and III, that one was restored and is in private hands. It was last sold at auction for $541,000. Quite a bargain if you ask me. This car was interesting, it was stripped to the body and a custom tube chassis was built with a Volkswagen engine so it was easier to traverse the desert for the western scenes.



The last one, the Hero 'A' car sat on Universal's backlot for almost 30 years with pieces getting stolen or rotting away. It was restored in 2011 or so by direct request of Bob Gale, the movie's creator. The difference before and after restoration is quite amazing.





They made a full length film about the restoration, definitely give it a watch if you have the time. It was so difficult to restore because the people who built the car got all the parts from an Aerospace junkyard. Most of these things are from Military helicopters and fighter jets.
