I do have fun. That’s also some aired down wheeling, and driving a little fast. I drive a work truck all day, and drive like an adult:)mad:) so when I get into my own truck and can drive crazy...well I take full advantage of it hahaha

TOB has been chirping for last 40k miles and finally started growling. Guess I ought to order a new clutch and TOB.

Only if you're bad on the clutch, and most of these clutches go well over 150k even with strenuous loads. I only changed mine because I had it apart to swap engines. A manual compared to a new auto may be equally or possibly less efficient (3rd gen POS auto excluded), but compared to your old dinosaur of an auto, manuals are miles more efficient.

Same with a manual except they take 8 quarts less and less often.

You should change your auto fluid a lot more often, that's a piss poor maintenance interval. Shit turns to varnish and the TBN goes down rapidly. pretty sure it's every 45-60k

Autos are great until something fucks up. Then they’re very expensive.

Yeah they can be, my cruiser needs two shift solenoids (old ones are getting slow and sometimes it starts in 3rd) and those two parts alone are over $300

I change mine every 50k as well as antifreeze. Either that or every 3-4 years whichever comes first

Cruiser gets OEM drivetrain parts only. Plus Toyota fixed the issue with these parts back in 2000, so the new ones don't wear out. I'm not really complaining about the price, I like the truck and know what I bought, I'm just pointing out for someone like yourself that has admitted he's on a very tight budget an auto can be expensive to do anything on if it decides it doesn't want to do it's job suddenly

Right now I have 555 for tie rods and LBJ for now. But I did that for temporary since I'm going LT soon.

    I’m real annoyed today.

Didn’t get out wheeling, my buddy can only go out tomorrow. And I don’t want to explore potentially sketchy trails alone.

And I hate wheeling on Sunday
