    Really? It has always had a heavy pedal and strong grab compared to the Aisin one it replaced.. I was contemplating ordering an Aisin this time but I'm not sure it is worth the premium. Aside from the TOB I have been happy with the Exedy

    Exedy is high quality and made in Japan. The Aisin OEM from the dealer is good but the Aisin aftermarket for the Tacoma uses plastic spring retainers known for exploding and leaving you with a fucked up clutch disc. I've driven a few manual tacos with the OEM clutch and they were mashed potatoes. One was definitely broken somehow so I don't count that one though. Mine was mashed before my marlin clutch, but now it's medium pressure and grabs hard

    It's a design flaw really. You can get a nice Koyo or Nachi bearing and it'll still squeak because the way it engages with the plate doesn't apply pressure super even.
