Any tips on getting the small screw that goes into the bottom of the steering wheel column plastic case (not sure the right term) back in? We took it out to better route our microphone for our stereo install and can't get that back in for the life of me.

 

Pic? It should just go right in if the screw im thinking off

 

Don't have a good one, but it is the screw that goes into part 7 on this diagram.



edit I lied, found one. Middle one.

 

Oh the one that goes in at a angle? Are you sure the cover is seated properly? It should line up snd be easy to screw back in

 

Yeh, that one is a bitch to line up. I used an awl to line up the plastic with the screw hole, held the plastic tight and started the screw.

 

I'm pretty sure. The two screws that are blocked by the steering wheel aligned just fine but that just doesn't want to align. I'll undo the two behind the wheel are try to reseat it.

 

You can’t just push the cover into place and put the screw in?

 

Loosen the 2 screws behind the steering wheel shown in the first pic. Once you get the bottom screw started, then tighten everything.
