Anything is easy to work on once you get it out of the truck.

Sometime here has an LS v8 swapped into their rig...that's an acceptable v8 swap if you ask me lol. Thing hauls

I wouldn't want it for a wheeling rig personally but for a street truck, mmmm

I'm a horsepower fanatic so I would love a LS swap in my rig. But if I was going to pick a dream engine it would be a Cummins 4bt (if I remeber it right) awesome low end power and be great for expo rig.

I recently went to Great Basin NP. Towed the travel trailer with the 4Runner. Now, my 4Runner is 100% stock - it's a tow rig and daily driver, but when we got out there, we found some trails to play around on. One trail we found to an overlook ended up being washed out and rather technical, a Jeep on 35's turned around at the same point I did with my pizza cutter street tires...

But that 5 speed "manual" in the 4Runner was quite nice. It gives you complete control of your gears, but you don't have to futz with a clutch. Smooth and controlled. It's a happy medium between a true 5 speed and an auto. I wonder if my wife would notice if I swapped them...

That's just it. Those motors are heavy as hell, and I just cringe when I hear "street truck". To me, that's like a "trail Prius" lol

There about the weight as a 5vz with transmission lol. A LS3 is about 430-450 pounds

4bt is the Inline 6 6.7L right? Those are like 1,000 lbs. Your truck will really be doing the stink bug squat.
