My boss was understanding when I took too many classses to keep that job this fall. I took a job at a grocery store to suffice. School looks like its gonna let me go back to my old job this spring. Gonna be great to have weekends off again soon.

Yeah, on campus jobs are usually the best at understanding the need for classes and all that. At my bike shop, we would make a separate schedule for finals week, and I was (almost) always very understanding of people who had to cut hours back for class. We had a max of 20 hrs per week during school, most of them would work at least 15 hours. We didn't make much, but I did have a really good employee purchase program, where I didn't have any markup for them and they could buy whatever our suppliers had. I built more than a few $5000+ bikes where I only paid maybe a grand for.

A bit over priced for a ZJ, don't you think?

worst part about living at home is not being able to bring "friends" home for "sleepovers" :p

I lived with relatives for a while after I graduated while I saved up for a home...there was a brief period in between where I got an apartment with an ex :anonymous:

20 hours a week? I wish. I told the grocery store thats what I wanted when I interviewed. I had like 18 my first week, then 25+ from then on. A couple 32 hour weeks in there too. Most of that is on the weekends which is horrible.

That building you go to where they pay you money to care for shit that you don't care about then give mandatory donations to some old fucker named Sam that no one has ever seen before.

If your parents still pay the bills then you aren't living on your own...that's the cold truth. BUT...if you're fortunate enough to have them cover expenses like that while you get an education then by all means take it...get that edumaction and leave the nest for good once you graduate and start your career

it sucks now but you'll appreciate it someday, I promise.

Waking up early to beat traffic/lines/etc and getting out of an 8 hour shift while it's still light out in the afternoon is damn rad
