    Tesla's in a weird sort of competition right now. The only one they have the capability to put out of business is themselves. But at the same time maybe that's what's keeping them in check

    I used to feel the same way about Apple but lately it feels like their stuff just isn't built to last (lately as in the last few years). I had a Macbook like yours that lasted me a long time, upgraded to another in 2014 that had the video card fail in just over a year when it was just out of warranty and had to pay to get it fixed. A year later that one failed but luckily it was just within warranty. My 2012 Apple Desktop has been a workhorse but admittedly I think it's on its last legs.

    We have all Apple computer products at work and every year or so for the 4 years I've worked there we have to get our computers replaced for some reason or another because they crash
