yeah I have a love/hate relationship with CA. Mostly hate, but the scenery and abundant/available trails soothes the pain.

If you go into the national forest you need it, also some other places too. It's easy to do and if a ranger asks you just show it and laugh about the stupid video with him.

We don’t need fire permits on the Forest here, or camp permits, California sucks

Don’t need to tub anything if you don’t have wheel wells.

    4x spacers per tire.

I've done a mod or two
Just don't call it camping, at best it RVing. At best you can take it to where other people and the too much bs that they bring with them are.

pretty sure you do if it's a National park like Zion.

Out here you only need camping permits if you're going to a popular campground, like where people with pop up trailers go ;)

The remote areas of the mountains and especially the desert, no permits required

I’ve never seen such a ludicrous display of wealth until I drove the two miles down Pismo Beach to our campsite. These families with a quarter million dollars worth of trailers, 4x4 gear, and trucks.

I can sort of understand the fire permit thing (which is stupid, don’t get me wrong) since Cali is especially flammable.

Nothing wrong with a bed off the ground with lights and hot water. But most times I tent camp.

I’m sure if you camp in a developed campground you’d need a permit, but if you just go pull off the highway on any old dirt road you’re probably good

It must be included with the overnight permits then in National Parks because I've never had to get one separate from that permit...unless it's a new thing

I never thought I’d ever look at a Ford cargo cab and told myself “Damn, I want that.”
