I’ve thought about teaching, but I hate the people I grew up with so I can’t imagine it’ll be much different anytime soon

Yeah my mom started teaching when we were in high school, I remember her saying that she was starting with middle school and telling her that she was insane...middle schoolers are the absolute worst. All those teenage hormones kicking in...we were god awful to our teachers in junior high.

Nurses do make good money, or at least after putting in a few years. I actually toyed with the idea of getting that degree a couple years back. You pretty much have a guaranteed, decent paying job wherever you decide live. Nurses are always in demand

I love it when they complain about spending their own money of class supplies. Then I think of any mechanic ever dropping prolly $50k in his tools.

True but not very many jobs require you to spend a considerable amount of your own money on the position, with no thought of getting it reimbursed. Mechanics face it too but it's still a bigger burden than a lot of us have to deal with on our jobs. I wouldn't be able to do it (teaching), I love kids and all but I don't have the patience for a whole classroom of someone else's brats, lol. If I ever do any teaching it would be at the community college or above level, not that I plan on it but it's an option (art schools). They don't make shit either though, unless you're tenured or full time at a state or private university.

I maybe wouldn't mind teaching a once or twice a week photo or photo editing class on the side, someday

LOL that would be fun...but they patrol the beach area pretty heavily, 15mph speed limit or you get a ticket and/or kicked out. Gotta head back into the dunes to do crazy shit

My buddy who takes me to Pismo went from one end to almost the pier at the other end in his duramax going 95 mph with 5-10 ft visibility due to fog. Crazy drunk mofo!

LOL yeah yeah I used to think that way but it's not so uncommon these days...I'm too old to study to become a doctor at this point haha. Anyway I doubt it'll ever happen, was just one of those random 'what if' thoughts
