Sounds like fun to me. Just have to be prepared for it...sub zero sleeping bag and warm clothes and it's no big deal.

I've camped in my RTT in freezing temps a couple times and it really isn't bad...the tent traps heat really well. Only thing that sucks is getting up to take a piss in the middle of the night, but thats always one of the worst things about camping lol

Always sleep with a water bottle in your sleeping bag if it's freezing outside...thank me later

Do it! I love the ride and the way the truck handles with the full OME kit.

Only issue I have run into is the same as most everyone else who went with the OME AAL. They do not have the anti-friction/isolator pads (whatever they're called) on the AAL. Didn't have an issue until the truck sat for nearly 2 weeks when we had the wildfires. Started driving it again and it sounded like an old box spring... Not the best solution but a tiny shot of WD40 in between the AAL and the bottom of the top spring seems to have done the job. I know one person (2nd Gen) ended up taking the AALs to a spring shop and having them drill and put in a couple of pads. Corrected the issue for him. That will be my next step if they start up with the squeaking or maybe just pull the AAL and find one with pads. Other than that, I'll give em' 2 thumbs up.

Wheelers' suggested the OME Nitros over the 5100s. The Nitros just pair better with the OME coils - makes sense so I went with their suggestion.

As long as you don't have explosive diarrhea it's easier to hold it and wait until morning than it is to hold your piss in..esp after a night of drinking around the camp fire

I was going to use a 2nd gen taco leafspring and sacrifice it (i have 9 pairs) to make a cheap add a leaf. The OME shocks seem like a good deal for the price. guess i'll be doing that
