Lol why did they need a card, that's one thing your state got right, it's legal

 

Before 2018 you needed a rec ("card"). It was only legal for "medical use". Only became legal for recreational use last year.

 

Oh okay, I forgot you guys were last to implement all that stuff on the west coast.

 

My mistake, recreational went legal in 2018 here. I'm still not used to 2019 yet. Lol

 

There was a time before it was legal. Haha.

 

Every freakin' Billboard from San Francisco to San Jose is plastered with ads for Eaze or other Weed home delivery services.

 

You aren't that old though, I thought you couldn't even get a prescription under 18 for it

 

I was curious & just looked it up.... smelled a dude smoking at a bus stop yesterday. It is like alcohol, not legal to smoke, eat, or vape marijuana products in public, basically only on private property. And the open alcohol container laws applies to marijuana in a vehicle. Must be in a sealed container (like sealed when purchased at a dispensary) or locked away in the trunk if unsealed.

That is true, you had to be 18 to get a rec (recommendation from an approved doctor). Well supposed to be. But then again you were supposed to see a doctor in person but if you knew the right people you could get it done over the phone.

 

It's out of hand. I'm tired of it. I still wish it never went legal.

 

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but you could get the prescription as a minor with certain stipulations or a recommendation by a doctor. Which is used super loosely here because it's dumb easy to get one of those here.

 

Eh. It's still federally illegal on my campus since it's state owned, but that doesn't stop anyone. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I could care less what people do with it. Just as long as you don't exhale in my face and don't drive under the influence I'm happy.

 

I believe you needed the parents approval if under 18 back then. But now you have to be 21 to buy it cause they raised the smoking (tobacco) age to 21.

 

It hasn't stopped anyone ever. It's moving in the right direction, the heavy commercialization and commodification you see in California, is pretty localized. The other legal states don't have that level of laziness yet and have lots of laws governing advertising for it much like beer.

 

Something like that.

Oh well. It is what it is. It brings in state revenue so I guess it's good, haha. Seems to be doing Colorado good for their economy.

 

This was an interesting read and an interesting case for sure. A completely legal transport of industrial Hemp between two legal states, but seized in Idaho where the transport driver faced charges for drug trafficking.

Going to be interesting to see where this goes.

 

It's Idaho, what do you expect? Seriously, the northern portion of the state is straight up nuts, beautiful land and sights, but the people there aren't wired right. Went exploring up there once and picked up a racist CB broadcast about runaway slaves... They're still working their way up through the 20th century. Plus every other radio ad is some plea for help and money to straighten out their withered educational system.

 

Pretty sure all CB nowadays is some weird ass shit. I picked up a conversation of a man talking to some imaginary guy named "Rabbit" and talking about what a disgrace he was to the human race and some weird cultish stuff. That was one of the only clear conversations I've ever heard on my old CB, so he had to be nearby unless I was picking up the I-92 traffic.
