    Miguel talked me out of it.

    Someone get the rear locking axle. It's been sitting there for two days, and it's been raining so I doubt many people have seen it. Complete axle with locking pumpkin is $275 plus a $30 core charge. You can probably get $1,000 for that whole setup.

    I dunno the 80s that won Dakar twice went kinda speedy haha.

    I need to do a tune up on my cruiser soon, the Z is so close to being done then it can get the attention it probably needs now.

    Bought a new cutter, cause the damn fuel hoses on the Z's injector rail are harder than diamonds from age and oil exposure.

    We'll see how it holds up, gotta be better than the single edge razor I was trying to hold in my fingers.... And almost slicing myself with

    Finally finished my adpater/backplate the other day & got my Yuasa magnetic chuck mounted. Not common to see mag chucks used on lathes. It will allow me to hold & machine very thin parts.

    Cleaned up pretty well with only minor voids. Still need to clean up the OD though & I'll work on the face some more. The lines are brass.

    So here's my question, if the magnet turns off you end up with a projectile unless the tailstock holds it ya?

    Correct, kind of. The pinion turns the magnet on & off (gradually), it's not electrically controlled like the mag chucks on some big surface grinders so no worry of the mag turning off if it looses power. Fine pole is better for thin parts which is what I wanted one for. Coarse pole is better at holding thicker parts (brass or babbit lines spaced further apart). Again not very common for lathe use. Still have to take caution not to take too heavy of a cut & send a part flying
