I get Mobil 1 because it’s what they sell cheap at Costco. Hard to get synthetic oil wrong. Dino oil, maybe I’d be more picky about.

Can’t help you with the fenders. But I have some OEM doors already primed ready to be painted.

Sorry about the truck, i'd be pissed. You're still financing that purchase so wont insurance pick up the cost? Might take a ding to your rates but your comp coverage should handle it.

This is over a month old but ya never know... Fresno so a bit of a drive but if he still has it perhaps a TW Express(?)

yeah I thought about the insurance route but I have a $1000 deductible, if the damage were in excess of that then I'd go that route but I can fix it myself for less than half that I think. Found a local junkyard that has a "red" 2003 fender listed on their website, no pics and they're closed until Tuesday but fingers crossed.

Surprisingly, there's only ONE Tacoma fender listed on Craigslist in all of Los Angeles...really odd.

Could’ve sworn I saw you turning into Meridian Court, then I saw your profile pic. Saw a Silver Single Cab with a roof rack. Looks just like @eon_blue

ahhhh... went the high deductible route, eh? I am running 100/100 deductibles on the tacoma and 0/100 on the wife's car & the camry. I did have a 750 deductible on the taco at one point but after the brick over the sound wall incident, will never go back to the higher deductibles on the taco... no thx. Reminds me, I need to make sure my cap is covered - just switched over to Ameriprise.

:fingerscrossed:on the local junkyard. Will continue to look locally - if I see anything, will pass it your way.

meh, got the 3.slow and an auto trans that sounds like it probably needs a rebuild. Be hard to part out to recoup the $700 with the 3.0 drivetrain and a bad tranny. But maybe a good deal if you were looking to take on an engine/trans swap project, put a 3.4l in it and a good trans and it would be a good truck

yeah, I went higher deductible because of how expensive insurance is out here...paying about $115/month now but at the time I got it, it was $150/month. I'm looking to switch over to USAA since my wife has it and they have better rates, so I'll probably get a lower deductible then.

YES. Now that you're married, rates should be dropping a little bit. Costco member? If so, call up Ameriprise and see what it would be. they aren't bad. if either of you are members of a credit union, check the credit union - they may have a deal with a carrier.

    https://www.costco.com/auto-home-insurance-services.html

I was using AAA before but it was much cheaper to go back to Ameriprise. Have had them before - decent company.

EDIT: LOL just realized USAA - yes, get a quote and switch!

Now that you mention it, I am a Costco member also now that I'm married lol. My wife own's her own business and has a Costco Business membership so she was able to put me on it once we get hitched. I'll check out Ameriprise
