You want the fender? I think a buddy of mine that does that Wasteland Weekend stuff is gonna use it to make armor or something

They're just resonators to reduce the intake sound. I bought an Airaid tube to replace my stock on that was cracking. Hate that it made my intake louder but it's not that bad as long as I leave the deckplate mod closed. Had I known how much louder it was going to get I would have just got a stock replacement tube.

 

Yes. But that stupid lil piece of plastic tube is way over priced. I'm an idiot for buying it but at least I got it on ebay.

 

Oh yeah forgot to mention, on my truck I had to shorten it to fit good. I've never seen people mention issues with fitment though. Luckily my truck doesn't need the additional port for the power steering so it was no big deal. Fit so much better after I shortened it.

 

That's why I cut it. Was too long so the tube sat right up against the TB & MAF. After shortening it had proper clearance for the 2 couplers to flex properly.

 

Maybe the stupid tube fits the older style airbox & maf better? They do list it to fit up to 04 though. I've installed bolt on turbo kits that fit better than this thing. Lol

 

That got here fast...1 step closer to restoration. Mirror and paint should be here tomorrow and fender on Wednesday. Gonna put the fender on before I paint it to make sure it fits alright.

The old fender was a bitch to take off...didn't realize there were so many bolts holding that thing on.

 

Could you give a parts list / pic - looking to reduce the size of all the funky resonator boxes to fit a shock tower cross over tube.

Also, this the second dark green 5 lug extra cab flareside I've come across this week. The first one was in person at an intersection and had an 01-04 clip.

Just counted the ziplock bag I collected...there are 10 as well as a few nuts

keep in mind I have a different fender than you do, 2001+ is different than the earlier years

 

yeah there were a few on that side that sucked to get at...I have a feeling I might end up with one or two "extra" bolts when I put the new one on

 

Sounds pretty much the same except I remember a couple more behind the bumper and another near the door
