I'm not sure I know what you mean. I just have the Airaid tube only that they sell for 1st gens. They come 2 ways, tube only or entire kit that comes with a cone filter.

I still have the piece I cut off so I can tell you about how much I shortened it but for you're 98 I believe you should have the old style MAF & airbox. Maybe it'll fit fine for you (if using the stock airbox)? Also I'm not sure if 98 has the port for the power steering vaccum, if yes you won't be able to shorten the tube unless you T it into the PVC (not sure if there's a consequence to that though). But I think the it's 95-97 that have the power steering vacuum.

Only a few of the early models vs whole model year runs had the steering pump vacuum setup afaik. My bad didn't know the different style mafs would make that much of a difference. Pretty much I just want to reduce the space taken up with the resonators and keep my stock airbox.

Ah I see. I'm not sure if the older maf & airbox will make it fit better, I was just speculating cause the tube was too long for my 01 & I've never heard anyone mention fitment issues for 99-04. Maybe my truck is just "special". Lol

It'll definitely make the engine bay cleaner though. If you do get it & need to shorten it, LMK & I dig that piece out to measure if you need me to.

Hung the ladders from the ceiling today. Can’t believe how much room it saves. Don’t know why I didn’t hang the fishing poles and ladders sooner.

I opened up the fuse panel to see if I would be drilling into any conduit, and I find out someone has bugged my house.

    See bottom right.

Can't see the pic. Like to see what you use. Hose clamp could fit with some thick material I guess.

Was barely on the trail 10 minutes when it happened lol.

Now that I think about it...If I'd I had a front plate bumper I might've avoided this. Damn
