    Pardon the dirt

I have the stock battery holder in place but it doesn't do crap, hence the zip ties holding it against the inside fender. Also as you can see the battery ground is missing as I pulled it off last night since it was barely holding on by a couple threads

I mostly meant cabling. I have a battery the size of a can of spray paint that can start the truck so I doubt anything there is wrong, I think your battery other than fitting poorly is fine. But how does all your cabling look there's. A wire the goes starter to batt, one that goes alt to fuse block and fuse block to battery (there's a good way to bypass this and improve it), and there should be a ground from block to battery, and from fender to battery ground

Yeah the other wires going to the terminal are for my lights on the roof, and there is still some wiring closer to the front of the truck that was for the electric fans back when I had those installed...the shop that put the stock fan back in didn't want to mess with the wiring from the e-fans so they left it in. Me not having any real confidence in working with electrical I just left in there as well, been meaning to take it out though.

Yeah I forget what it's called but I want to get one of those standalone fuse boxes that you can run all of your aftermarket electronics through to clean up the engine bay.

I'll try to get some measurements and a better pic of the cables for you today

Which ones do you need lengthened or shortened. I've made lots of winch cables

I have a feeling we won't be seeing Jaxon again for 3 - 30 days

Although it's hard to say whether or not the OP is genuinely asking for some kind of help or just being a troll

Not sure yet, probably install it next weekend if I'm not working. Trying to decide if I should run it on a switch circuit of just to the battery. It's my first one so

Another thing that contributed to our thread was OP was asking a genuine question, this one is just blatantly a troll.

Well one thing you can do is use a huge switch in the engine bay to connect and disconnect its positive to and from the battery. But it's hard to fuse a winch because well they draw a fuckload of amperage. Even my little 8500lb one draws around 600amps when it starts on a loaded line.

I relocated my solenoid box into the engine bay and made extension cables...

I typically heat shrink these when I'm done with them but I was leaving for a trip and didn't have enough of the right size.

That's kinda what I was thinking about doing. Just to keep moisture out of the box and stuff. Is a switch worth it or just go directly to the battery?

I ran mine to a Blue Sea Switch. It's rated 600A intermittent and 350A constant. It's done some very heavy winching and is still working just fine.

My terminals look pretty wimpy should I replace them with some heavy duty ones with extra lugs?
