An alignment shop that knows what they're doing and doesn't just punch in factory numbers on a truck with aftermarket suspension/lift

Hesitant buying tires on eBay from another dealer besides america's tire. Happy to say, impressed - all have a date code of march this year so looks good.

yeah they still look good but up close not so much...all the rubbing from going up to 33s took it's toll on them I'm ashamed to say. Finally got them to where they don't rub 90% of the time offroad.

I thought you were still having issues due to the wheel backspacing funk? Have you thought about going to all first gen spare steelies to see how they ride? Backspacing would be close to if not stock. If I'm not mistaken. If these 4Runner wheels don't work out then I'll move to those next. These should be ok though. fingers crossed. I can live with some frame rub but if its constant and doing damage then what's the point?

yeah I still rub the back of the inner fender really bad if I stuff the wheels, and a little bit on the frame when fully locked. Can't trim it any more than I have without compromising the cab...at least I don't want to risk it anyway. And the frame rubbing is strictly due to the backspacing I believe. My next move is to put more caster on the SPCs and see if I can get the wheel to move a tad bit more forward but I don't know if that will work or make it rub more in other areas. If that doesn't work then I need to look at new wheels. Don't really want to run spacers if I can help it.

So my plan is to take them over to the shop and have them mounted to the 4Runner wheels tomorrow or Thursday. Friday I'm off to Vegas. Won't start the SPC UCA install until Tuesday or Wednesday. Once that is done, head over to the alignment shop and have them put the new wheels/tread on and start tweaking numbers.

I know I'm going to have to break out thor's hammer and start hammering down the pinch weld but I am thinking I'll get the alignment done and then see where I am before swinging away. I dont know, maybe will just deal with it before... :notsure:

No offense against immigrants/people of other cultures, but I think you should have to speak perfectly understandable english to teach at a college level. Having to drop/reschedule a course just because you cant understand the guy is absurd. Which is why Im taking all my remaining gen-ed classes online to avoid that mess.

Yep, i'd stay away from the spacers too. I know many on here swear they are fine but - personal preference I guess.

Try maxing the caster on the SPCs all the way forward (setting G) then see what the shop can do. Should push it as far as it can go away from the back of the wheel well.

I'm using Dan's info as a reference. He does a kick ass job with his documentation not too mention his trip reports.

yeah I'm not so much afraid of damage due to spacers (I know a bunch of people that wheel harder than I do and have had spacers on forever) but it's more that a.) there's no guarantee they'll make the rubbing go away, in some cases they can make it worse...and b.) most alignment and tire shops won't touch your truck if you have them on. Not that it's hard to remove them but still. I can think of many other things I'd rather spend ~150 bucks or so on.

Well they'll happily align my truck with the SPC UCAs but they won't touch the UCAs themselves lol. But if you have wheel spacers on they won't even take your business unless you remove them first, guess it's seen as a liability. Most of the big company shops anyway.
