No... gas system length doesn’t have anything to do with the legal terminology for a gun. Yes pistol gas systems are super short, but that doesn’t make them a pistol. You could have a rifle with a pistol gas system and it would still be a rifle, it wouldn’t function, but legally would be a rifle. Same as you could have say a 13.7 inch barrel with a mid length gas system, and that could be either a stamped SBR, or a pistol

Also if you are talking gas systems, there isn’t an “SBR” gas system, most use carbine gas systems, some if super short or depending on caliber use pistol gas, and longer ones like the aforementioned 13.7’s can even use mid.

Yeah Gas dont matter. And you do you. But imo a pistol needs to be short. 10” or less

If I were building a 300 BLK I would agree that it should be under 10, i’d Probably do 8.5-9, but 5.56’s under 10.5-10.3ish tend you have seriously reliability problems, plus you are taking even more away from the ballistics then you already have, very little dwell time. I’d love a super short 300, but for now just sticking to 5.56

What’s the difference practically between an SBR and a braced pistol though?

    Nope lmao.

But I don’t like rifle pistols lol.

I like having a longer rifle with a stock. And there is only 1 stock on the market worth buying imo

After shooting a few buddies I was sold, so much smaller and more maneuverable, easier to store in the truck, and plenty of terminal ballistics out to reasonable distance. And every bit as accurate if not more so inside 200 yards

Yeah I don’t know that much about Honda’s so I wasn’t sure on the price. Didn’t seem horrible though. One of those things were I’m on the fence, show up and it’s clean and they have all maintenance record from day one then cool, not so clean and no records and hard pass

Aren’t those impossible for a non FFL to get? I didn’t think H&K ever made a civilian version. I’d loveeeeeee to shoot one though

I like the idea of flush but I think it needs to come out just a little for more protection.
