eh my girl is fine in crowds. me not as much but i can manage.. shes more into the camping and what not.. i'd love to get her a 4runner when shes done with school.. she likes them. but really wants a wrangler.. we'll see. build for her? maybe..... maybe..

lol, she was hoping for an Australia placement but her teach dropped the ball.. i would of been out there for months because like hell am i saying no to going to Australia

 

I'd be all over a trip to Oz too. Looks like a great place to check out

 

id love to experience the outback. ive got family out in australia for whatever reason i still dont know. they love it. but the cost of living in the cities makes california look cheap

 

I'd buy a 79 LC Ute lol

 

i would likely come home with some kind of land cruiser i could import.

 

Could just get a modern one pull the engine and do a engine swap

nope. unless i can magically get it in a million pieces and assemble it in america and register it as a "kit" car

You can import the drivetrain, the vehicle as assembled can not be, even in pieces it could get into the country but would be unregisterable. Can't assemble a kit of a car that's in production.

Yeah it blows, but that's not to say you couldn't buy and register it in a South American country and operate it here... There are ways around things haha

 

i could make a car a "kit" car. if it comes in pieces its not subject to the same import restrictions as a full vehicle... then youd assemble it at home and go apply for a title.. Now the cost of this would be ridiculous though. and im talking drilling spot welds and dissembling the thing to nothing.

 

Yeah you'd be walking a lot of grey areas applying for a vin on a vehicle that had a vin already. You'd have to disguise it to, they check what you're registering, it's subject to a full inspection when you call it a kit and apply for a title. I bet it would be denied because it is a production model from another country, not a classic (exempt), and wouldn't meet federal standards
