I’ll just do the intake manifold and the TRD body for now, won’t mess with the blower till I get close to paint.

who posted this which landed it in the products discussed section? Seems like a decent blade to throw in the gear bag.

If you wanted to really help that manifold, grind down all the casting mark and inside it until its smooth and gasket match the ports.

What would cleaning up the casting marks on the inside do? Would something as small as smoothing it out make a difference?

I have to go buy some heavy Garnet media for that, my glass bead media I have in the cabinet for the Horns won’t really do anything.

When I work with cast iron I use Garnet media, really coarse stuff and will remove a lot of material.

This differential was very rusty before I blasted it.

Porting and polishing make all the difference. Flow is important in an intake, would it be a huge difference, no. But as you stress the charger more with smaller pulleys it helps exponentially. The gasket matching of the ports would actually make a significant difference. The casting smoothing is more important as the runner tapers but only takes a couple mins in the bigger chamber so you might as well make it all nice if you're gonna do any of it.
