I need to figure out how they are cranking the torsion bar, that fucker is hidden.

 

Follow the bar back from the lower arm and wherever it ends up it should have a big key with a bolt used to adjust the initial load.

 

The thing is it goes back into the engine bay somewhere you cant see it from the wheel well or under the van. So i guess you have to go through the top. I see lots of talk about it but not picks. Tons of info for the rear though

 

Once you get that thing trail worthy let me know, we'll make a weekend of Hollister Hills.

 

Really all i need to do is get the plates, insurance and some tires and ill be ready

The brakes aren’t that bad I think they just need to be broken back in. They hold back the 101 horse power burn out

I remember before I did new rotors and pads on the taco a few months ago, since I've ever owned it the pedal pulsed pretty bad when you broke. Couple years ago I pulled the pads to inspect them and the rotors and I scuffed up the pads real well to try and get rid of the feel of brake fade and it didn't do squat.
You can try pulling the pads and roughing them up a bit and then do like 3 hard stops from 45 mph (without actually stopping all the way) to try and 'reseat' your pads. But you can get good rotors and pads for under a hundred bucks

After driving around the shop parking lot they are better. I prefer just need to flush the brake fluid and change it
