Not really that I know of. Of course just standards for threads but for studs not sure. I've only seen what's commonly available for off the shelf but that's not really a standard.

But if for automotive use I would think its considered all custom. The standards are what the auto maker specs out.... their own custom standard so to speak.

But if there is a standard it would probably be in Machinery's Handbook. I can look it up if you don't have a copy.

 

Too bad DMC never became a big company like gmc.

I’m just wanting something that likely doesn’t exist. A stud that’s threaded standard on one end (I think it was a 3/8 thread to w/e is closest on a metric thread). It’s not an important thing. Just just for my OCD about bolts and nuts on my truck.

So like a stud with metric on one end & imperial threads on the other end? If yes, not hard to make. You can buy a partially threaded stud, then use a die to thread the other end. But you'd probably have to machine down the unthreaded end to thread's major diameter before threading.

Or I can make it if you don't need a shit ton of them. But it wouldn't be hardened if I make it. Best I could do is make it out of a stronger steel alloy or a steel alloy that you can have hardened by someone or do yourself. If strength is not important I can can easily make it out of mild steel or stainless.

Here's the draw bar I made for my mill out of 1144 (stress proof). 7/16 thread on one end with 2 metric threads on the other end.

 

Reminds me of one of my brothers. Lately he's been looking at buying all kinds of welding accessories. Like he's planning to buy all these parts to make his own tig water cooler yet he doesn't even own a welder. Lol

I bought one of those HF welding tables during the New Years 25% sale yet I don't own a welder either. Well someone did give me a brand new cheap flux core welders but I've only used it once & I'm not a welder. Lol

 

I bought a welding table months ago, haven't had a chance to use it yet.

I've bought from DMC's site before, I bought the DMC emblem for the front grille.

 

Haha, speaking of that welding table. I finally put it together yesterday actually. After I assembled it I then realized I didn't have a place to put it (no more space in my garage). It now lives up against the wall between my lathe & mill & probably won't be moved for at least another 5 months, well probably much longer than that. I don't know why I bought the damn thing but hopefully one day I will get to use it.
