Mmm, last piece of the puzzle.

 

I have to figure out why your horn is dead.

Oh and we're putting Cadillac horns in it.

We'll go get a set from the junkyard. They're like $24 a set.

 

So I keep thinking about this and I think I'm just going to try the OE toyota bushings and say to poly bushings in the front hanger. Thinking about it, ARB/OME shipped the dakars with rubber OE bushings in the front hanger to begin with. Must've been a reason they opted to do that vs. their own yellow poly (like they do for the rear).

 

I have a shop press if you need help pushing in the oem one in

Dont use impact, trust me lol

 

used it to press out the upper ball joints while still on the vehicle, worked without issue and made life a lot easier that day

 

I used impact on that when pushing out the oem bushings on dons leafs. Kinda ruined the thread on it. Or maybe it was just a cheap kit.



Btw 30mm is the exact size of the bushing.

 

I know some of those kits are ass judging by the varying reviews. The OTC kit is good, can't complain about their front end service kit at all. This one for the ball joints/u joints was a bit more pricey but solid and so far no issues but will definitely be mindful. Just because it was more coin doesn't mean jack.

If Don ends up squeaking... lol perhaps those front rubber bushings really do need to stay put.

 

Shops always use impacts but youre supposed to grease the forcing screw threads

 

this one was pretty heavily greased. almost to the point of wtf, where are the damn gloves and shop towel

 

Probably should of did that. Doesn’t matter to much. Still works for now and I only really needed for dons leafs
