You adjust at the throttle body there's a certain setting to have the little crimp piece poke out of the rubber boot. I don't remember exactly how much it should be but your service manual should cover it.

I suppose he was lying then?

He recommended not to run the A340E TC because it wouldn’t “shift right” from the difference in stall speeds.

I’m not calling you wrong, It’s just I take his word more than yours just because this is what he does for a living.

Why on earth would some people want their auto trans to feel/sound like you're slamming over a speed bump with 1000lb coils at 40mph every time it shifts?

That's what I thought happened at first in @BartMaster1234 's video, thought he went WOT right over a speed bump haha.

Sort of looked like what happens when I fuck up and drop the clutch when my shoes are wet and slip the pedal.

I hear a very *faint* blower whine but should be louder, are your windows up? Might just be the recording device picking up heavily on the cab noises and not really on what's outside.

This is true, whenever I start getting rough feeling shifts in my manual trans, greasing the zerk fittings on the driveshaft helps a bunch.

~2.5-3" lift, 590lb rating so they're meant for heavier front ends

Windows up, it’s actually a little louder because I’m missing the shifter console since I’m ditching the useless single cab cup holder console I have installed. I’m surprised how loud it is without that console.

If I point my snorkel head in toward the cab and roll down the window, I can channel the supercharger whine directly into the cab and it's loud as fuck. Was fun to do for a day or so but got old quick lol.

That sounds awesome. I was looking for mods on how to amplify the noise, and most of them consist of running a rubber tube from the intake into the cabin.

Some folks like a bit more line pressure, maybe not that much. But with driveline slop it's always gonna sound horrendous. I have the valve body on the cruiser turned up a bit, easier on the trans

I don't know if I'd want mine any louder but the 4cyl one might be different. You could always put a smaller pulley on it, that should make it louder

I do have a smaller pulley on it. It’s the URD 2.5

Machine it down to 2.0, it'll be loud as hell right before your engine explodes

You got to run the exhaust into the cab. Then that SC whine will put you to sleep. FOREVER!

Toyota transmissions are a lot more modern design than the old Chevy transmissions like the 700 r4 an the 4L series. They use shift solenoids and tiny accumulators rather than a huge shift servo. A lot cheaper to beef the Toyota trans for shifts

For some reason, I expected it to have a bit more acceleration (unless you were holding back)

    That shifting though...

It’s still an Auto, nothing will help that.
