    Other than Tacomas in Baja, what Toytoas are you referring to? There is another Tacoma plant being built, but not yet finished.

    No, it's built in a lot of other countries, but not Mexico. I believe Tacoma is still the only one. Just like everybody, Toyota gets considerable parts (esp wire harnesses and other very labor intensive parts) from Mex, but no assembly plants. The new Taco plant is in Guanajuato (I looked on Wikipedia) in South Central Mex. Wiki says late this year it comes on-line.

    Sorry, is that a question? I meant TMMBC is there now, and there is supposedly a new plant being built for more Taco production.

    Wikipedia:

    Mexico[edit]

    Toyota Motor Manufacturing de Baja California S. de RL de C.V (TMMBC) is an automobile manufacturing plant in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. The plant was established in 2002.

    No, initially Baja started out making just truck beds for NUMMI. Then NUMMI and BAJA divided up Taco by cab type. Then when NUMMI closed, their share moved to San Antonio, where they had already started making Tundras. Tundra used to also be made in Indiana, but that stopped in about 2008.

    @Sperrunner

    I don't have time to talk, I gotta get over to your build thread and see if you updated it. I am a Japanese van lover too. Sorry, but Delica is my favorite, but Hiace and some others are close behind.

    I broke a 1/2 extension, a 19mm socket, and a 1/2 x 3/8 drive converter socket getting that bitch out.

    I also used a 6’ pipe as a cheater bar but that damn passenger side mount wouldn’t come out.
