Sometimes the old "I have 55 yrs experience blah blah blah" guys can be dickheads. The forum I'm on doesn't turn away people with no experience & no matter how small their machines are. Some machining forums won't even allow to to post about Asian import machinery.

Just go on YT, can learn a lot there these days & better cause you can see things done rather than just reading on a forum. But yeah I'll help in anyway I can too.

is there a best proven method for cleaning/soaking front license plate screws to get the crustiness off of them?
slightly tarnished they are
maybe there are corrosion resistant screws that will be a direct fit and match

 

I wouldn’t touch that with a thirty nine and a half foot pole. He’s crazy asking that much for a previously totaled and salvage title truck.

That freakin’ driver’s side airbag had me in tears.

 

Just get new screws, they’re cheap. I bought security screws with spanner heads so no one takes my tags.

Get the Spicer boxed one. Don't worry, its oem Toyota (made by Koyo), just a Spicer box and it's the cheapest. Or maybe Koyo sells it cheap too
