Thats it. Ive had mine for 12k miles so far. No problems. Amazon says it wont fit, drivetrain America did and it fit fine.

Seems like a lot of people want those. I look for them all the time at junkyards from 4Runners. If their not gone, they're beat to hell.

i just need the metal clips (at least one), do you know if those are sold separately?
the one I saw from a 2oo1 at salvage yard here the clips were in worse corroded shape
I suppose that humidity wreaks havoc on them?

You people are talking about air boxes I think?

People break em all the time “off-roading”

 

Those boxes get brittle and snap where the the tube meets the box

 

I broke mine driving down a regular forest road

 

Frame is pretty strong up front what with all the cross braces. But the airbox sits in the body and the engine sits on rubber on the frame. Nothing is directly connected and they all flex. This will happen no matter what with the flimsy maf and integrated box design. The 4 banger one is bolted in and that save it from a quick death
