Youd be wasting your money if you buy new U bolts. I know some say not to reuse them, but with yours being less than a year old Id say youd have 0 issues. Heck, Ive had my leafs out 4 times in a year and I swapped ubolts (installed during the 1st r&r) out at the 3rd time, only cause I had some spares that were black powdercoated. Both sets never came loose at all.

I’ll see what I end up doing. It’s going to be a while, I still need to find the axle shafts. Fingers crossed those limited 4Runners still have it at my two local yards.

For the love of god, don’t go wireless.

Wired is far better quality and cheaper. It’s really not that hard to hook up, in fact that’s the first mod I did to my truck at 15.

Oh, you can do that? That’s not a bad idea. You have a GPS permanently mounted up there?

I haven’t used a GPS in years. We went through a few Garmins before iPhone navigation was a thing.

I love my garmin. Doesnt suck up any data or battery, and leaves my phone free for other things if needed.

I guess that’s a plus. Can’t beat the convenience of smartphone navigation though.

I figured all those companies that made dedicated GPS units would have gone bankrupt or found a market that still exists by now. No idea anyone was still using those things haha.

Probably commercial companies, truck drivers and old people still buy them.

Everyone who I know that uses standalone GPS's has the same reasons that I do. Sucks up too much data and battery on a phone. I use my phone for in town stuff, but the Garmin comes out for long trips.

Huh, I haven't had a data plan that was speed or usage limited in over 6 years now so I kinda forgot that was a thing. That makes sense. My last three phones have had Qualcomm quick charge and I plug em into the holder in the car so battery wasn't ever an issue.

I have an Unlimited data plan, so running out of data isn’t a big deal. I just keep my phone plugged in when I’m using it as a GPS.

Yeah theres still a ton of people like myself still on family plans with limited data. Cut costs on the phone bill so that money can be used on other things. Plus if youre on an unlimited plan and see that youre only using 3 gigs a month on average, why not just pay for 3 or 4 gigs versus paying extra for stuff you dont need? Thats my thinking on phone bills.

Yeah, like I said, I forgot that limited plans were even a thing. Business unlimited spoils ya, no caps, no throttling, no time restrictions. And people who don't charge in the car are missing a prime opportunity to keep the thing topped up

This applies to any of my welding projects. Ill spend hours perfecting precise engineering drawings on what I want using cad. Yet somehow I always inevitably scratch all that and redraw stuff on an oil stained index card mid project.

It just sits there & never moves? I don't see any driveshafts. I've seen trucks like that plenty of times without a front driveshaft & transfer case but that one looks like it doesn't even have a rear driveshaft. Lol

Work in progress I guess judging by the wheels.
