[IMG] That is the only real noticeable damage. Some crack in the rhino lining of the plastic bumper don't really give a shit about that. It's really not that bad, but still don't back into people's shit.

Hard to tell with the bumper on. I would remove it and check it well.

As to the how, it was a steep street so you any time you weren't holding the brake you'd roll backwards. Anyways dude was trying to parallel in the spot in front of the truck. Didn't make the cut correctly so was moving to reposition and apparently didn't go out of reverse and applied the throttle. You'd think the display showing the backup camera would be a clue....

Just looking for other shit bent/not in the correct location? I guess I know what I'm doing on Sunday, or I guess wouldn't the body shop look at that when I get the estimate?

Yeah the body shop would look at it. But if you wanted to see for yourself I would remove the bumper cover.

Not only does it have a big ass backup camera display, the car has sonar and will beep at you. If you get too close to an obstacle it will say “STOP!” with a loud chime. It even tells you the distance between an obstacle in feet and inches.

You have to be a special kind of stupid to hit something in a Tesla backing up. There’s so many warning implements.

Really hard to hit something, as you can see.

My son did a similar thing adding rear discs to his 2001 tacoma and had to grind the rotors down for some reason. ( There was grinding shit everywhere ) Was always a problem because the calipers were fixed not floating . When you drive it with multiple turns the flex of the rotors push the calipers open. Need to brake and the pedal goes to the floor for the first pump, Kinda Scary until you are used to it.

But how much of the clutch did you burn off?

When I was getting my stmaxx tires installed, the kid that pulled my truck into the bay didn't know stick very well and didn't stall, but roasted the shit out of my clutch

Means you weren't going fast enough to be in 2nd gear, if the RPMs were too low then it was chugging it sounds like.

Burning the clutch happens when you give it too much gas while still having your foot on the clutch, common when reversing and not having a good feel for the clutch

You'll know pretty quick when that awful burnt paper clutch smell permeates the air, or in Miguel's case...smoke fills the air
