    You don't really need the bracket but it might tilt if you lean hard on it

    I forget you're 4WD. This only applies to 2WD's, that how it is in my 5-Lug.

    However your console still won't fit properly, the ears will be stretched over the shift console to drive the two screws in. The center console shift console has a little recess on both sides so it's flush.

    Because you only ever saw those on the models with 60/40 bench seats, which were considerably more rare than they were in 1995-2000.

    A pair of tin snips solves this issue and it will still look 'aight. But the dude above stretched them.

    Mine actually cracked from vibrations resulting from stretching the ears. Let me grab a pic.

    @Blue92

    I totally forgot I don’t have the console in, but I’m running the one with the cupholder on the side and it’s made for a 60/40 so no provisions for the center console. You can see the crack from the stress from stretching it.

    I wouldn't. Those stabilize the front of the console. It'll be wobbly without it, as my console is now without screws in it since I have the trim off. Just stretch em.

    I went on Copart and found the VIN for a 2001-2004 Extended Cab with your interior color and plugged it into this website to get the part #.

    Looks the same to me, just about 14"

    The front is kind of tapered so I went from the tip to the line where the 14 mark just about hits
