Well you have to level the ground first and raze it. We did that today.

Tomorrow I build the frame. After you build the frame and anchor it, you lay down your peat gravel then tamp it down. After the peat gravel you lay down some anchors for the wire mesh to give the concrete rigidity. Then you pour your concrete and use a screeding to level the excess cement.

After that you use a variety of floats to get it flat and level. Wait for it to dry, seal, then comes the shed.

Id pour the pad then let home depot come in and do the rest. But Im lazy when it comes to middle of summer outdoor construction projects.

It’s funny I would expect it the other way around. Let a concrete company lay the pad, then build the shed.

The concrete is really the hardest part about it. We’re building a pre-fab 10x10 wood framed shed from Lowe’s.

    I do it properly.

However you don’t need a concrete pad for a shed. Most people just put it on pier blocks. We’re just doing a concrete pad because of the nature of the shed’s purpose.

It would be cheaper to pour a pad yourself then pay someone. Lowes or homedepot often builds sheds for minimal cost assuming they have enough access to your yard.

Shed is like $600. There’s three of us it shouldn’t be that hard. It’s mostly prefab. Just need to lay a floor and shingle the roof.

Ah. Theres quite a few places near me that bring you an entire shed on a flatbed and use a crane to set it on its piers or whatever. In and out in 1 hour or so lol.

Probably. They were so obsessed with soil quality. As I was digging up the area for the pad they were examining the dirt and critiquing it. Was the weirdest thing.
