Mevotech is another option, looks just like the SPCs for almost half the price. Not sure of the quality difference or if it's just a rebrand. SPCs have gotten very expensive over the past couple years, compared to what they used to be anyway. I got mine in a group buy a couple years ago before they went up in price.

 

I’ve yet to touch mevotechs. But I’d guess it’s a rebrand of the spc. Or mevotech is the actual producer for spc. We use mevotech for all our non Toyota’s at work. They seem to be of decent quality

I noticed that too. I can't remember what I paid but the price they are now seems way higher. Like double the price.

 

I know they've done a couple design changes, I think most recently they got rid of the tubular arm design for a forged (?) one. I have the tubular ones

 

@Speedytech7 what year matrix airbag do I need?

 

03-04 should be a single stage charge if I remember right

 

I think there was only one generation of matrix

 

There were 2 generations. But the first gen went dual stage later in life, pretty sure it was when they went to drive by wire in 05

 

Ok Ill just stick to looking for a 01-03 Rav4 airbag to play it safe.

 

Can air bags be shipped?

 

As far as Im concerned youre just shipping the steering wheel cover.

 

Don't see why not, they aren't volatile without an electrical impulse to set them off
