I will say this site is a bad influence but at the same time...I've been to some really fucking cool places and made some lifetime memories that I otherwise wouldn't have. I'm just lamenting with the other like-minded souls right now but in all honesty, if it bothered me that much I wouldn't do it anymore. I have no intention of stopping, I'm sure life will dictate the pace as the years go on but there's more than enough joy in this hobby for me to outweigh the headaches.

Or maybe I'm addicted and I need help....fuck

Spot on. Sounds like you wheel pretty hard, you really are gonna look into a Cruiser or Lexus equivalent, right? They might handle your abuse better :D

I don't even think I really wheel that hard lol, at least not compared to some others on here. I have my limits knowing that I do need my truck to get me to work on Monday. And some of my favorite trails have been the easier ones that are simply more remote and go to cooler camping spots.

I'm also kind of a hypochondriac when it comes to my truck and certain things that bother me probably don't bother a lot of others that use theirs the same way. I'm a lot better about that than I used to be though lol.

I will admit, if this site wasnt in my life my truck would still be in its completely stock form. I mean, Im working to install a Lexus steering wheel just cause I can, and I saw someone on here do it lol. I mod my truck, just differently than most on here.

I actually didn't find this site until after I got my truck....I had a 99 Prerunner when I was 19 and got into offroading with that, but had to sell it when I went off to college because I knew I couldn't afford the hobby back then (surprisingly smart choice for 19 year old me). For the next 10+ years I knew I wanted to get another one someday and finally got to a point where I felt like I could. But I didn't think I would get this deep into it lol. I have TW to thank for that.

This site has done an equal amount of good to me though. Ive done stuff that I didnt think I could, all cause some stranger on the internet told me I could. Also Ive found out how to make extra money by selling parts on here. And figure out problems for myself versus running to a mechanic all the time. So in reality, my entire lifestyle wouldve been different had I chosen another vehicle besides my Tacoma 2 years ago.

I'd have a shit ton more money in my bank account if I had chosen another vehicle, that's for damn sure. But...you know what they say. Can't put a price on good memories or learned skills.

Well it could be theorized that you wouldve spent the same money on any other vehicle. Obviously you were willing to do it. You couldve been a ricer for example, or squatting a dirtymax on dirty fives.
