I actually have two rollbars sitting in my garage. One of them is from some unknown Chevy and does not look or fit right, and the other one I got lucky and is from a 1985 Toyota pickup. I buy whatever rollbar comes up on CL because they are so damn rare.

Luckily for me, the ‘85 Toyota Pickup was the same used in the movie so I have the right one. Just have to modify the rear mounts to fit my bed.

The lights that came on Marty’s truck were KC Daylighters. If we’re being honest, they are complete shit and overpriced lights since they’re pushing 30 year old technology and design. The Daylighters from the movie came with the Chevy rollbar - but they were so bad I trashed them. Their newer designs are so much better. I’m running KC LED fog lights on my bumper.

I’ll agree about the ugly but they aren’t totally unnecessary when you drive around a lot at night.

I should add unnecessary at least in California. They’re illegal.

Lost my side lamp and bulb on a night run Friday. Anyone Got a link or suggestion where I can find a replacement socket? I got a bulb and a new side lamp via Amazon but can’t find a socket. It would be for the blinker seeing as how they’re relocated.

Correct. But we all know no one does.

Do they even make covers for light bars?

those are sick! Would be fun to drive in the right conditions

I agree most lightbars or light accessories are unnecessary, until you find a love for wheeling at night and see how much easier it is to wheel at night with the proper light set up. Maybe one day you will find yourself in the dirt at night and realize this. Fact is a lot of people spend money on shit they dont use...

If I was getting another Tacoma, it would probably be a 2013-2015 DCLB. Could never afford one though.

3rd Gens are nice, but the reliability is a factor now.
