Yeah I'm not a big fan of people sewing heads onto other bodies for fun. This industry appears to require more regulation.

I guess I made a small mistake, but I think it’s still pretty understandable if you know what a tire chain is and had watched the movie before or knew the story.

True, hopefully if I ask them to keep the caster where it's at they won't mess with it. The other place finally got it at 3˚ and Firestone always puts it in factory range despite me asking for more.

I didn't even realize you were referencing the movie, I thought that was an auto-correct error or something lol

If you tell them not to do the hard part then they won't, camber and caster adjustments on a Taco are linked, so you probably just want a toe and go which is cake for them

ah ok if a toe 'n go alignment is all that's needed after replacing the OTREs then I'll just take it to them and save some $, thanks

yeah there are a couple in LA that I hear do a great job, but they're an hour plus drive for me. Easier to just go to the place 3 blocks away that I have to pay for, if I'm getting a full alignment

Completely off-topic from body recycling and severed arms but here is a video. I've recorded sounds the transmission is making in reverse vs the other gears. I have the transfer case off and the truck jacked up in the rear a bit to keep a shit ton of fluid from rushing out.

It appears a rebuild kit isn't even available for the newer R150F 5VZ transmission. I figure if my roommate has rebuilt Suzuki transmissions he could help me with this one.

I'll take it to the local Firestone after doing my OTREs since all they need to do is correct the toe. When I need a full alignment though I'm taking it to the other guys

Idk about 6lugs but 5 lugs are easy. You just losen 2 bolts ans stack shims to adjust alignment

It's a bigger deal when you paid for your own tires and they weren't cheap

I have a vivid memory of being in my 2nd grade class in Texas and the teacher telling us over and over "ain't AIN'T a word!"

That's my takeaway from the Texas school system
