Sometimes I forget why some people are on my ignore list so I take them off. It isn't long until I put them back on.

Damn you’ll be hard pressed to find a PC with a Serial Port in this day and age. I had to buy an Intel Pentium slot card board from the mid-90’s to have a machine with GamePort and Serial.

Was about to the same the same but then I remembered it's the Bay Area...probably tons of tourists and weekenders coming and going. That sucks though at least in LA traffic really only sucks during the work week

I took that off Reddit, that’s 2:54 PM on a Thursday. That’s I-80 through Emeryville past the Bay Bridge exchange. It’s always that traffic every hour of the day.

Oh yeah it does, that Joystick has a GamePort connector. That PC is mid-90’s judging by the presence of the faded Beige case.

My 2012 MacBook Pro still has a disk drive, er, well had it until I removed it and replaced it with a secondary harddrive cage.

Acer Aspire. I picked up a new one last year for 350. i3 chip. 1TB HD storage. Then I put in a 128GB SSD NVMe stick in for the OS/Home partition. It's a damn good unit for the price.

 

This one is supposed to support USB. Usually about choosing the COM port to work with the software. I had an old Win XT machine in the garage just for running stuff like this until it died. I'm running Win 7 64 bit on my old DELL 6600 laptop.

 

Pawn shops are full of them (disc drive laptops). Just don't know if I would take the risk with the DNA transfer.

 

Yeah keyboard was just faulty. Been working fine since.

I could take that logic board out with my eyes closed. I used to tighten the hinges for $20 when I was back in High School.
