Hmm. I got those plastic thingies on. Bumper has to come back off to put the upper and lower covers on the bumper... waiting for the bumper to get painted first.[IMG]

Finished this weekend's fleet maintenance. Two Nissan oil and filter changes. One Honda oil, filter, and ATF change. For the Taco, I plan to put on the new engine splash guards sometime tomorrow.

I dislike trans drain and fills, even when they're easy they suck. I need to do my Cruiser though. WHat do you prefer for things that take Dexron? I usually use Castrol TransMax

For the Civic, I use Honda DW1. Hondamatics are their achilies heel. The transmission is not properly cooled. Fluid starts turning dark faster than any automatic that I've seen. Changing the fluid seems to tighten up some of the slippery feel that comes from a worn fluid.

One of the Maximas is running a Jatco 4 speed with VLSD. That one seems likes to run Castrol Transmax Import Multi-Vehicle. That fluid has some interesting history with Toyota and Nissan requirements. The other Maxima gets Redline MT90.

For the Taco, I cleaned it up with some plain old Walmart Dex III ATF then switched to Valvoline Full Synthetic Dex/Merc when I drained the trans and torque converter during the engine swap.

Sounds like a solid linup of fluids to me. I've been lucky enough to drive a Max with a 4 speed and VLSD, that's not as bad a trans as everyone makes it out to be. I drove it like a complete asshole, letting the VQ30 hum up to redline before shifts and it never got hot or even flared in between gear. Those who know Maxs know they like to break the drivers side loose cause the engine side is heavier and drivers has a shorter axle shaft so the VLSD is money.

Anyone have an ECGS bushing tool or know if there is a pass-off thread somewhere? (Similar to the great SWR meter swap thread)?
